At this point, I am thinking it is option number two. I honestly just wanted to see what was going to happen to the girls. I didn't count on all of the things that the author threw in the book, though.
After having read a few other reviews, I do have to agree that the problem this book had was the tell versus show. You hear about the investors being murdered, but you don't see them. You hear about some of the other AI girls being dismantled, but you are left just looking at the aftermath. You hear about Jackson and Quentin going to get things straightened out in Denver, but you don't get to sit in on the interrogation. Mena just sits quietly on the sidelines and gets told all of these things. She doesn't live them and because everything is from her point of view, the reader misses out.
Considering how crazy and thrilling the first two were, this book is a total let down. I gave it a solid 2 stars out of five. Let me know if you've read this trilogy and tell me your thoughts.
Happy Reading!
