TOP 5 TUESDAYS!! Top five children's picture/early reader books

Hey everyone! Today marks a special day! This is going to be week number one of Top 5 Tuesdays!

Starting this week I will provide you with a top five of something. This week it will be PICTURE BOOKS AND EARLY READER BOOKS!

Here we go!

#5
Curious George
Published in 1969 and written originally by H.A. Rey, these books have developed a life of their own as other authors have contributed to the series. As a result, you can find George and the man with the yellow hat in a variety of different situations in both picture book format and easy reader format.

#4
The Berenstain Bears
Written by Stan and Jan Berenstain, these books again crossover from picture book to easy reader format. I love these books because they deal with individual situations but they also deal with situations between siblings.

#3
Little Critter books
These books were a family favorite at my house. My brother loved, loved, loved these books! A great series by Mercer Mayer that deals with sibling rivalry and messy rooms that can also transfer from picture book to easy reader.

#2Madeline
I've always been teased that I look like the little French orphan girl and surprisingly enough it was one of my favorite book series as a child. Originally written by Ludwig Bemelmans, this series is another one that has other authors that have contributed over the years to carry on the story.

#1
Winnie the Pooh
And I'm not just talking about the classic stories by A.A. Milne. This is another series that authors have contributed to over the years that has both picture books and easy readers. Pooh Bear and his friends have always held a special place in my heart.
