Hey everyone! Today's TOP FIVE TUESDAY is going to be a Blast from the Past! These are books that I read when I was a kid and were popular then, but may (or may not) be out of print now.
#5
Pippi Longstocking
Oh, how to describe Pippi? These books were always my favorite as a child because of how fantastical some of the stories she told were. And the best part was? Talking to my mom about them because she read them when she was a child too!
#4
The Baby-Sitters Club
I loved these books when I was younger! There were so many spin-offs and reading them with my sister and all my friends made us want to be just like the characters in the books! Now, you can read the novels, or you can also read the Graphic Novels!!
#3
The Real Mother Goose
This book was one that was handed down to me as a child! First published in 1916, this book set the standard for Mother Goose books everywhere. I have to admit, though, that my favorite part of this book was the illustrations that went with each story.
#2
Nancy Drew Mysteries
I absolutely ate these books up as a child. Nancy always figured out what was going on in the books! The fun part? My mom would read them with me and revisit the stories because they were ones she had loved as a child as well!
#1
Sweet Valley Twins
Elizabeth and Jessica got me through some of the hardest parts of childhood and not just through this series. There are so many other series featuring these twins and I have read them all! I absolutely loved them!
