The final book! I loved it!
I have to admit, that the beginning of the book was not my favorite. It was slow and didn't really seem to have a whole lot going on, but you can tell that Alina is starting to come into her own. Her character is stronger and she knows more of what she wants.
In an effort to keep from spoiling things, I will say that I did see the ending coming. I was not surprised at all to find out what the final amplifier was. I absolutely loved what LB at the beginning and ending of each book. I loved seeing what "the boy" and "the girl" were up to after everything happened with the Darkling.
I know these have been shorter reviews, but I know if I say too much more I will have to put a spoiler alert in and I hate spoiling books for people. Admittedly, these books were the first YA fantasy type books I have read and absolutely loved in a long time (at least ones I haven't read before).
With the announcement that Peacock has picked up two YA series to adapt to television, you may see me adding books in here that I am rereading. Some I have posted about before and some that I haven't. I hope that it inspires you to reread some of your favorites too. I know rereading books is something I always get picked on for, but it's a comfort thing and I always say, YOU DO YOU!
